So...about navigation in game, got a question.

OK this is a DUMB question, one that I should know (after 20+ hours of gameplay) but I don't. I have the worst time figuring out which direction I need to go. If I pull up the map, doesn't show which direction I'm heading in. If I want to go east, I have to trial and error it until I see my group walking the right way (lol). The mini map doesn't tell me what direction I'm going in either (or at least as far as I can tell).

Usually these games will have a pointer showing the direction you're facing on your map location icon.

In addition to the minimap's compass, if you look very carefully at the dots that represent your characters on the full map they do have a tiny little dot on their circumference that shows the direction they're facing.

I'd just use the minimap compass, though. Lock it to North-facing if you're having trouble finding North on the compass.

Just look for the letters on the minimap. North is always up on the big map, no matter how much you have turned your minimap. So figure out which direction you need to go. (East) Then look at your compass, find the E for east. Then go that way.
