100 % agree with you, the resistance against certain dmg types is nice but in the only viable options are those against fire, ice or electricity - and even there is fire the best by far.

Tried several times to play Durge as a Dragonborn and always felt stupid for choosing a Dragonborn, considering how bad their feats are.

You mean racials, not feats.

All they need is darkvision and they would be good to go, however, isn’t Larian trying to keep them based on the PHB? This is more of a WotC issue.

Why, though? If they are your favorite, just play them. They don't need to be made OP on top of it.

Yeah, from an optimization perspective, Dragonborn are rather behind.
Humans are good mostly for the shield proficiency on classes that wouldn't get them (wizard/sorc/warlock) and +1 skill, wood elves get +2 skills, half-orc is probably one of the better ones because of relentless endurance and the massive crit synnergy with some builds. (And they get free intimidate).
Dragonborn get a single resistance. Of which fire resistance admittedly can be pretty nice. The breath weapon quickly finds itself rather obsolete beyond level 3.

Still, I think you can make most builds work with Dragonborn if you want to. Only ones that really don't that I found are the Sorlock build and the Bardlock build, which really need human's shield proficiency to be optimal.

Agreed.
These are the buffs i'd give to the Dragonborn:
-Elemental Resistance: you get one damage type resistance based on the draconic ancestry you choose, as normal. When you reach level 10, the damage resistance becomes immunity instead.
-Breath Weapon: remains mostly the same, recharging on a short rest and all, however, it is used as a bonus action rather than a full action and it scales from 2d6 to 4d6 at level 5 and 6d6 at level 10, each time its damage scales, it also gains additional 3m range on the cone.
-Elemental infusion: After using your Breath weapon, your attacks become infused with your element dealing 1d6 extra damage of that element for the next 10 turns.
-Draconic Flight: Starting at level 5, the dragon born can cast 'Flight' targeting themselves only, once per long rest without the need for concentration.
-Draconic Resilience: When you a saving throw, you can expend a reaction to succeed the saving throw instead, once per long rest,

Is that too much? i feel like this is fair. Brings them more in line with their relatives.
Although i'd be ecstatic with just the increment to the breath weapon as that's gotta be the most iconic feature of the dragonborn and i wish it was actually a good feature...more often than not i'm caught wondering if i should use it or just attack or cast a good spell, if it was a bonus action we'd have no problem putting it into the rotation of any class. The damage also feels lack luster.

Dragonborn suffer from the "cool tax" of being dragons, but without the majority of the benefits that ought to come with it. All they have is their looks, an elemental resistance, and a crappy version of a breath weapon, which is rapidly outscaled by just about any other action before you hit level 8. Teiflings get better, never mind the array of more relevant buffs and automatic proficiencies an Elf or a Dwarf gets.

Bare minimum, they ought to get the same AC buff a Dragon-bloodline sorcerer gets and their breath weapon reworked to be more functional in the later-game. Increased range, damage that scales off of some stat, anything of that nature. Darkvision and some skill or weapon proficencies would be nice as well. Don't rightly care what PHB says about them, they just feel bad in BG3.
