maybe i got lucky.. on turn 2 all the bosses below dead.. the emperor, his dragon and some guardian. then i work my way up to those mindflayers. however those MM is really painful.
I've played 428 hours in this game so far which includes EA and this is how it ends. I am now on the brink of giving up unless I load up a game of 5 or 6 hours ago
It’s a LTP thing you probably have crap team and crap gear and some sort of crap netdecked multiclass as a main
Sure, I suppose that's possible as well. Maybe I've just gotten lucky, but that has yet to happen to me. I suppose this could be negated by casting it on the same turn your caster moves inside it.
I also need to find lots more GP. 5 Disintegration scrolls at 6000gp is a lot
Summoned lots of help in the middle to distract the dragon and mobs.
Left Asterion and Shadowheat where they started, doing more spells and summoning.
Slowly worked my way around the outside with Gale, Tav and Orpheus, taking out the mind flayers on the way
Cast dome of invulnerability on my tav when he was channelling.
Wailed on the brain till it was dead.
Wasn't too hard tbh.
Anyway, the amount of damage you need to inflict to kill the dragon will kill every other enemy on the map. So, to reduce the number of actions the enemy has, kill all it's adds first. Starting with those hard to reach mindflayers. If Astarion is well built he should be able to kill two mindflayers a turn for you. Since you have mages you can try dominate person to get the enemies to kill a few of the adds for you.
Flooding the board with allies makes it a lot easier to to wipe the map of enemies and providing bodies to soak up incomming damage.
Some people mentioned about summoning allies. I had The Watch, The one's that said they would aid me after killing head vampire but not finishing the ritual, and the ones that had the woman councillor as their leader. One who mentioned she would help was the young tiefling girl but she was never in my list so I don't know what happened there. The dragon (Ansur I think) how do I get that? Most of the allies I had were killed in courtyard battle so this final battle they did not help much
I need scrolls of decent damage and more GP to buy them
The reason I used two mages was because main character has not learned Dome of Invulnerability but Gale has.
So, I need:
better spell potions
to redo courtyard battle without allies
more allies (A player mentioned Ox (don't know how to get that) and Anthur
I am going back to Gortash's to see if I can find the concussion grenades
To do all of this I have to go back to a save before the no turning back part. I have deleted all the saves above this to stop me getting tempted and end up trying to tear my hair out again
