Then again, why are you hitting things with Shadowheart?
Shadowheart as a Drow Elf Sorcecer (no Cleric) she uses nothing but cantrips and spells in my party.
What did you want to do with her?
Jokes aside, respec her to something else than Trickster (or trickery?) Cleric, it's a ♥♥♥♥ class. I personally REALLY love tempest cleric
Seks.
Early game: She has a 13 STR, 14 DEX, so she's better off with a finesse weapon. Only one she's proficient in is a dagger, so just give her a magic dagger and you're good on this part.
Later on in act 2: There's two weapons that use casting modifier instead of the regular modifier, but if you respec her to the war domain, she can use them without issue. The weapons in question are the Sylvan Scimitar and Infernal Rapier. The Infernal Rapier will also help boost her spell DCs.
Now in act 3: The mace the end boss drops from her personal quest is a great weapon for her. A mace that sets STR to 18 so her lowish combat stats don't matter so much.
Hope this helps!
However, assuming you keep her as a Cleric, there are a few ways you can go with her. The level 4-6 Cleric spells are kind of weak, so you could combine Cleric with Bard, Ranger, Fighter or Monk to give her some more martial prowess while keeping her with at least 3rd level spell slots. If you give her the Magic Initiate:Druid feat (or a Druid level) she can use the Shillelagh cantrip and use a Wisdom powered staff with GWM. That's a nice damage boost while she maintains a buff or Spirit Guardians.
She could also be a candidate for the Gloves of Dexterity or Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength if you want her to be an archer or melee.
I've made mine like this. For tougher fights, she gets screech going on Phalar Aluve, then switches to Blood of Lythander(which reminds me of Gandalfs Staff).

I gave her a decent shield, a decent medium armour, some additional items and she has around 24 AC on level 5. Later on this raised till 28 or so?. Lae'zal currently has around 30ish.
They are both tanking, just Shadowheart uses cantrips(or guardian spirits if need be), whereas Laezal uses melee weapons. My ranger switches between melee and ranged as is needed. The fourth guy is Wyll, Astarion or Karlach. Halsin and Gale are never invinted to the party if possible:)
