Shadowheart just.....misses....
is there some glitch? some unknown behind the scenes calculation mechanic with her guiding bolt? Because i swear to god i have NEVER missed as much with an ability than her guiding bolt. 60%? missed almost every time. 90%? missed most of the time. What made me made this post is the fact that she has missed a 90% chance to hit CONSISTENTLY for 3 fights in a row. I dont know if its a glitch or what, but i have not had this issue with any other character and at this point im prepared to believe that there was another shooter on the hill and that we didnt land on the moon.

It's not a glitch, it's RNG. For example, I just did a fight where I got 3 critical misses in a row and a bunch sub 10 rolls too. And another fight where the enemy rolled 4 ranged attack in a row as critical misses. RNG is gonna RNG.

On another thread someone asked people to say who their favorite character was without saying, and someone just replied:
"Ignis!" *misses*

Sometimes wisdom rolls are intelligence rolls. We don't know why it is this way.

Have you respeced her into the most effective Subclass and abilities? The ones she starts with are pure garbage.

Constantly and consistently. If you're looking for a better experience just go martial, ranged and melee are much better. People will say martial won't have the aoe to kill a lot of enemies but with martial you can take advantage of extra attacks and bonus actions to kill three or more enemies in their single turn.
You'll still get that unbelievable nonsensical miss even with 95% chance to hit but it's nothing like magic.

What's nonsensical about it? 95% is not 100%. Therefore there is a 5% chance to miss. 5%=/= 0%

What? I made her a Knowledge cleric, but it is still better to loose a crossbow bolt than Sacred Flame

Some spells are just plain cursed. Guiding bolt is one of those spells, scorching ray is another. No matter how good your character, no matter how high your chance of hitting and even with advantage, you'll miss about 90% of the time. That's not a BG3 rule, that's a D&D 5e rule.

Sacred flame is special because it doesn't use a projectile. This allows you to hit enemies around corners or through cover without having to worry about height difference effecting your damage. It's not something I'd use as a primary attack but it's useful nonetheless.
