Blade Pact + Rage?
For a dual-classed warlock/barbarian, I'm running into a problem and I'm not sure class abilities are functioning as intended. If you have a Pact Weapon, the weapon's related stat changes to CHA, but going into Rage switches it back to default for the duration of the Rage. Pact isn't concentration based (seems to be retained through Rage just fine), and other Warlock spell-like abilities (Armour of Shadows) work just fine. Nothing I can see in BG3 info I've looked through say Rage should override Pact Weapon in this way, with the possible exception of perhaps cutting down the Rage bonus damage (which is explicitly linked to STR based weapons, which Pact changes to CHA). I'd likely not have noticed if not for the parasitic stat debuff on hit switching to STR from CHA during Rages.

Unless they changed it in one of the patches, If I recall correctly the game has rage override to strength based, even dexterity weapons use strength, even if you have an 18 dexterity and a 12 strength. When you rage it goes to the strength bonus plus rage bonus, even though it is lower.

You may need to look at the combat log to confirm but that is how it used to be.

What's a brilliant idea to play Warlock/Barbarian! Additionally as I undestand you can't cast during rage.
You need some special achievement.

If i recall well it is because these two bonuses are considered the same type, so only one can apply, and rage was given the the override. (I think it is based on 5th ed ruleset.)

Thanks for the clarification. Seems like a silly penalty to a sub-optimal build to force it to take the lower of two options, but 5e and BG3 do so love their CHA stacking classes they probably expect everyone to roll pally/warlock anyway.

Yeah, that video gives the general concept of what I was doing, but goes way outside of what BG3 allows for.

It does, but it gives a foundation that can be built off of for a BG3 character.
