Daylight alternatives?
I'm in Act 2 atm with a Cleric 2 / Wizard 5. Took 2 levels of Cleric to have access to Turn Undead, as this is a crucial spell from this point forward.

I'd also love to take Daylight but that's at level 5, pretty steep price for just one spell (I really don't care all the others in between). I'd like to get the high level Wizard spells so not really inclined to invest 5 levels in Cleric.

Is there any other way to get Daylight? Like an item, or scroll, or a spell with similar area effect that would hurt undead/vampires?

Yes there are some items that grant this spell like a staff and a ring iirc and maybe even more. I forgot where I found those though sorry.

You can instead opt to use any items that cause radiating orb status on enemies since the light from that counts as daylight for all purposes

So I checked for you but unfortunately I don´t have the staff anymore but I made a screenshot of the ring so you can google it and maybe find out where to find since I really can´t remember sorry.

Appreciate it, thanks! Does this mean 'Light' functions as 'Daylight'? I thought only Daylight was damaging to undead/shadows. I have some Light and Dancing Light cantrips,

As far as I can tell it works exactly the same like the spell you can learn. Please correct me someoneone if I´m wrong. The thing is though this version has to be attached to someone or something, it doesn´t offer the alternative floating orb that you can place everywhere.

The Daylight spell doesn't do damage. Just use the Light cantrip.

Turn undead is not crucial though.

This too. It's helpful, but certainly not necessary. To avoid the Curse, the OP just needs Light spells/torches early on.

Daylight spell does 20 Radiant damage to vampires when they start in it. In BG3, not in TTG

The "Daylight" spell and the "light" cantrip are different. the Daylight spell dispells magical darkness and hurts vampires and other things with "sunlight sensativity" the light cantrip can do neither of these things.

Daylight is actually really strong. It can't be saved against, it doesn't require concentration and it has an ENORMOUS AOE. With Cleric you can swap out spells outside of combat at will so I would just switch to it when you want it. Definitely use it against anything with sunlight sensitivity. It can make a couple fights in the game almost trivial.
