3. Shut down and restart Steam
2. In the BG3 Launcher, open Settings, disable "Check for outdated graphics drivers."
Good Luck
Stopping it did not stop it.
Stopping Steam told me BG still running. Accepting to stop Steam did work.
Changed to Proton 8 - now I get the launcher again.
On Linux i would imagine it to be even easier. I had to learn some shell scripting i still have them somewhere, so even i could probably write a quick copy all saves (and override or delete before copy) kind of executable file. And it would work faster than cloud saves too.
(Probably could do it in Powershell too, but i would need to spend more time on looking it up than on linux. We had learned some shell scripts in class, but not powershell.)
-all of the official Proton versions
-clearing the game cache deletes your saves, and official Proton versions don't bring the folders back
-gamemoderun %command% --skip-launcher launch options
-turning off cloud saves
None of these worked
So I cleared the launch options and installed Proton GE 8-21
Game working on Linux mint 20, kernel 5.15, oibaf mesa drivers, RX 6950XT
Had the same problem until I did that! Wonder why it stopped working all of a sudden when it was working perfectly fine under Ubuntu before?
Same issue. Setting it to Proton 8 like this person said worked for me on Ubuntu 22.04.
I also have it skip intro and force dx11.
