Dame not clearing curse
Spoilers ahead

So in my SP playthrough I rescued Dame Aylin and a cutscene triggered, she got her armor summoned and all that, flew to the sky and flew all over the shadow curse zone to remove the curse.

However, in my MP playthrough with 2 friends, we rescued her as well, and she just flew away without any cutscene and no cure for the shadowcurse.

Does anybody know what decides the different outcome?

Dame Aylin doesn't remove the shadowcurse, she just attacks Moonrise Towers.

Aylin doesnt remove the curse from the Shadowcursed land. Halsin's personal quest that does it. So if you want to remove the curse you have to do Halsin's quest. When you proceed to Act 3, there will be a cut scene where the curse is lifted

Well, in my SP playthrough I got this sequence:

She flies through the land and you see the roots pull back.

In our MP playthrough she just summons the armor and flies into the sky. And no "flying through the zone" and "shadow roots pulling back" etc. scene.

Yeah. that's just the animation upon releasing Dame Aylin.

I don't know if it's skipped in Multiplayer for some reason or what.

If you go to Moonrise Towers and there's a fight going on, everything should be just fine.

Ok, so I guess it's just another multiplayer bug.

Where to report it?

Try the Larian forums
do halsins quest, go save thaniel

The game is poorly written - they can't make up their minds about whether it's Dame Aylin or Halsin + Thaniel that finally heal the land. My guess is they wanted these things as potential alternatives.

If I recall that correctly - Dame Aylin lifts the curse (you no longer take damage from the dark) and Thaniel is healing the land (so you get the cutscene of the tree growing when you leave for Baldur's gate)

Dame Aylin removes the knife from the land's wounds, and Thaniel does the stitches and puts some poultice on. Need to have both in order for the land to be 'proper healed'

Oh, rrrrrright.... I think remember no longer taking damage from the curse after Aylin swooped over the lands. Though I might be confused here, cause Kernest and Aderu said she doesn't remove the curse. No clue if my memory serves me right.
