Paladin Tiefling ?

Is that a thing lorewise? And what kind of Paladin would that be? I'm already planning my final playthrough.

Yes, they are a thing lore wise and they can be any kind of paladin you want. Tieflings aren't locked to anything, they are just as varied as humans.

Hellrider isn't as much of a class as a faction, they're a cavalry unit from Elturel.

The Hellriders is just the name of a cavalry unit from the city of Elturel. It isn't a class or anything. They are the Elturel Hellriders kinda like you have the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants.

Zevlor is a paladin, not sure what subclass

hellriders are a horseman unit, But i think Zevlor might be a paladin of vengeance due to how he acts.

Maybe a Paladin / Monk combo specializing in Radiating Orb debuffs. The race ability Branding Smite could be applied at range, which is nice.

I don't understand Paladins in 5E. I was under the impression they were all good.

They follow oaths, even then why couldn't a tiefling be a paladin?

Paladin in 5e basically swear on their oath instead their alignment to prevent all paladin player becoming lawful stupid.

I mean, if you are playin Solo then do the f you want. Im playing right now a Durge/Half Orc/Paladin with the Oath of a Defender of Life ... its all about how you argue and play it out for yourself. If you are playin with other ppl or friends you can always say that your Tiefling was found and raised by Paladins in the Human Realm.
