Have to sign in to larian everytime I start?

Is there a reason that every time I start this game and sign in to Steam, it then requires me to sign in to Larian. Is there a way I can skip this or automate? Frustrating every time I want to start a game I have to sign in.

You can skip Steam by executing the BG3_DX11.exe (or the BG3.exe for Vulcan).

Right-click on the item in your library->Properties->Launch options->"--skip-launcher" (without quotes)

You misread the post. The issue is that he has to sign into Steam every time. The solution you propose will not fix that.

the game does require you to sign in to Steam in order to play there is nothing you can do about that steam is the DRM and BG3 is not a DRM free game but as othere has said you can skip the larian launcher

I think it is DRM free as you can start it without Steam with the .exe and buy it on GOG.

For the Larian sign-in, is not that optionnal to start the game? I think you need to do it only if you want to use cross platform sync (or just upload your saves on Larian servers instead of the steam cloud).

I have NEVER signed into a Larian account; in BG3 or otherwise.

You do not have to sign in to Larian. It asks you to, but gives you a "skip" option. You can even tell it "don't ask me this again".
