How to Fail at Everything 101 Act 2 Dark Urge Spoilers
I'm playing a 50-50 Durge who's just trying to get rid of the parasite, remember who he is and do his own thing without everyone bothering him asking for help, but he does his best as he thinks that's what he's supposed to do ... and stuff keeps going south, but he outdid himself now.

Not wanting to be guilty of Isobel's death, he decided to lure her away from Last Light and make her turn undead accidentally. She followed him out, and the cutscene happened with the Ghoul carrying her off. There was a handful of undead harpers, which Durge sneaked past (he was teleported back into the Last Light area), then suddenly Isobel reappeared, non hostile and acting like the dome was still in place. The enemies did not seem to be attacking her, but maybe I should have waited. Anyway, I ran away, went to camp, was ordered to kill my LI, failed all rolls and ended up with everyone hostile including Minthara who I thought was meant to stick with Durge, lol.

Anyway, if you want to eff everything up - that's one way to do it xD

On another note, I'm irritated it's impossible to kill Isobel without everyone knowing and complaining. Even if you do it on your own, they are like "why did *we* have to kill Isobel?" Even Astarion lectures you, although he disapproves if you side with her at the beginning. But anyway ... So, in Act 1, you murder someone in the camp and there's masses of blood there the entire act, and no one notices, now they know what you did elsewhere with zero evidence and not witnesses? LOL

You don't lose approval, but if you click on them they all moan. If you don't and something else happens, they probably never say anything.

Stealing from the enemies corpses is punished by death. Prisoner is trying to escape the grove. Lae'zel = we should had never entered this place from the very beginning.

Is this what happened to you?

When i say no one is complaining, i mean exactly that. I exhaust all new conversation options after each event and during each camp visit like most players.
I entered sneak and proceded to move towards her behind while she was on the balcony. The tadpoled fist forced the conversation that leads to the attack and kidnap scene. I killed her before I engaged with all the spawn.
Again, no one complained about my character.
(no one obviously also includes Jaheira)

I tried to sneak kill Isobel as I was playing a ranger/assasin type DU. Being told to kill a priestess protecting a bunch of do-gooders fit really well, so I tried the sneaky route.
It was absolute Hell to manage to get into Last Light without being noticed or triggering any scripted event. After dozens of retries, I ended up undetected on the roof, able to 2-shot Isobel.

Didn't matter at all. The second she dies, Marcus takes her away. Very well, I rolled back and killed the ugly SOB, then killed Isobel again. Didn't matter either, a flying ghoul takes her corpse away, the shield fails, character is TP'd in front of the Inn with Jaheira to fight undead and shades and such.

It was a real disappointment to be told to assassinate some priestess, go out of my way to do it like an actual assassin, and have the effort and choice robbed from me to be shoehorned into the one scripted event that triggers if Isobel dies, no matter how. At least leave me undetected on the roof, able to soak in the chaos and roll stealth checks to try and stay hidden.

And yes, even if I leave all companions at camp, do it completely alone, tell no one about the fact that I did kill Isobel, they still know. Just like that. They didn't see the shield fail, don't know what happened, they were at camp. And even funnier was when I told Jaheira, whom I met later, that I did kill Isobel and in doing so ruined her whole op and got all her buddies killed, she forgives and forgets "because Bhaalspawn".

I guess you got lucky. They did not complain in the failed version I described above, but that was because the game decided to auto resurrect her, but then I butchered Astarion, and well, that didn't go down too well xD Jaheira and Aylin are not complaining, but everyone I had from before did. Ketheric also said he would resurrect her again, but did not.

Yeah, I'm playing rogue and not being able to assassinate her sneakily is extremely frustrating. I tried that before, which was why I figured if I can get her killed by the environment, that might result in people not knowing, as well as my character thinking he's been especially cunning. But nope.

Yeah. She's supposed to stand enthralled next to him in the mindflayer colony location, even if you killed her.

So apparently Barcus is alive and escaped from Last Light but is depressed b/c I allegedly didn't save Wulbren - which I did, he just died afterwards. *sigh*.
