Any Mods for first playthrough?
Just purchased the game and installing/dl it rn.
Comming from Bethesda RPG's, i thought eventually getting into mods as they improved the Bethesda RPG's by miles. However, i enjoyed BG1+2 for hundreds of hours back then without any mods, so its not necessary but, if its good, nice to have.

You'd recommend anything like that at all or you'd say go for vanilla first?
Wether QoL, additions or whatever.

I recommend playing vanilla without mods first and once you know everything you can better decide if you want to change something or not.

Party Limit Begone - not limited anymore to max. 4 members of your party.

Thanks! Already on my radar, even tho, i try 4 for now and see how the game is balanced around it.

One big point for me would the UI. I much prefer the classic parchment UI that BG1+2 had, rather than having a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of colors everywhere. Is there anything that changes the Ui and Icons more oriented to BG1+2?

I'd say play for a couple hours and then take a look at QoL mods.
What I use (all from NexusMods):

1) Better Containers
2) No Intro
3) Better Character and Party Panels
4) No Press Any Key Menu
5) Better Combat Log 2
6) Modular Highlight Tooltip
7) Faster Context Menu
8) Slightly Better Split Item Menu
9) Faster Rolls Quartered
10) Slightly Better Map UI (renamed to Better Maps All-In-One)
11) Better Target Info

P.S. 12) Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Fixer (enables the mods).
P.P.S. Mind, that using these mods will disable the achievements, if you'd like them back - you'll want to install BG3 Script Extender (easiest way is via BG3 Mod Manager).

I'm playing with Gamepads. These circle UIs are quite different compared to the standard one. They look more modern, but I agree, that with mouse and keyboard you're faster to operate. But I hate moving with the mouse and prefer walking by gamepads.

Only mods I recommend for a first playthrough are ones that don't change the difficulty or balance beyond vanilla.

Personally I only used WASD, free-camera, and transmog the first time.

I'd recommend especially to NOT use that mod on your first run, it just kills the game design...
You can use any b**bs mods or such tho
