Can't talk to Mol.
I went into hideout earlier, but she game me 10 to leave.

Did all the kids quests, told to talk to Doni and tell him to let me see Dragons Lair.

Doni won't talk, I go into hideout and get told: Investigate the beach complete, I won't be talking to Mol anytime soon.

What's happened here?

Its a bit glitched.. its best to do one kid's quest at a time before ever going into the hideout. There is some weird mix with Investigate the Beach and Getting Your Belonging (if you were stole from) or going intot he hideout first that makes Mol's script not recognize what you've been doing.. and if you don't Investigate the Beach immediately as it pops up, the child will die if you long rest or take way too long.

There is another bug that may cause Mol's dialogue to repeat.. which is why I help all the kids first, do the beach last- then go into the hideout via Donni.. I know it doesn't help you in your situation currently- but if you got a save prior, try my method there.

This issue definitetly needs to be reported more to Larian. Its been like this for a bit now.

Thanks. The save I have is hours ago.

I've saved all the kids since then, plus a lot more stuff. I don't know if going into the hideout before I did all that has done it. I want the ring from Mol though, so it looks like I'll be going back hours.
Yeah, I'm in the exact same spot and really don't want to go back so far to fix it, le sigh.

Mol just doesn't like some people.

You broke into her secret hideout uninvited so now she doesn't like you and holds a grudge?
Sounds reasonable. Choices have consequences in this game.

You can run into her again in act 2 and 3, if you visit the right locations. So maybe she'll forgive you then?

Yeah I think that's what happens, it sort of bugs out if you find their hideout first. I tend to rescue the kid from the Harpies first. That way you can gain entry to their hideout and Mol is nicer. And I don't end up having guards trying to arrest me for being mean to kids when I haven't done anything to them.

Even if she turns the guards against you in Act 1, she's nice in Act 2 and even sticks up for you when entering the Last Light Inn.

Quests sometimes break if you do them in the "wrong" order. This game, or any other game.

Sorry, I don't know how to help. Good luck with it.

Also, the ring is nice, but certainly not essential. There are a lot of great rings in the game and you can only use eight of them at a time.
