Most people whom come in here and say such things do not give a full and accurate account of the goings on they experienced. So it is up to the Devs to re-create the situation, which is trying. SO...

You kept it. Any anomalies in dialogue or taking the object/item?

What happened when it was 'broken'? Did a dialogue box come up? Did it say anything?
How do you know it is broken? Any other specifics you can provide?

Additionally please, make a thread in the Suggestions and Feedback Forum, so the Larian devs can actually see what your issue is and deal with it.
