Sadly pets are just spells basically...
Not to mention it would be nice if we could actually get some pet equipment here or there like you could in dragon age origins.
Little to no improvement was made since bg 2 20 years ago in this regard in some aspects we can even see decline.
no clue why they didn't expand on it.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I cant believe I forgot about that. Yes, 10000% yes
I would LOVE to have different armor for scratch or the owl bear (beyond a spoilery thing), and to give Shovel a knife or something. Maybe even the poo scraper
in bg 2 you could ask familiars for advice depends on the individual familiar and the location you got lines they would be different in tone... they had funny lines, bit like shovel.
Didnt those at least add certain buffs? I could have sworn they did
I do fondly remember Shales crystals, as he fits the familiar bill imo
Very very small buffs.
Shale was a fully voiced companion.
anyway, no point in talking about it like that if you just gonna see the negative side of the feature and god forbid we would improve on those right?
shovel isn't a smiting paladin let say with aura in combat but she's till cool to have around...
I'm not on negative side, its just DAO was poor comparison.
