Does helping Wulbren escape aggro the whole tower or only the prison section?

Just checking so I don't make life miserable for myself when I go upstairs.

Just the prison section. I normally go around just killing the guards, warden and kill all the orb before I even give him the hammer back normally.

Only the prison section gets alerted. You can kill everything down there. Though I advise starting with the warden. The eyes is vulnerable to thunder damage.
