Disarming traps is tiresome
We are in a temple/tomb, traps everywhere. A couple of my guys have very good trap detection skills. Astarion has so many bonuses to disarming that he almost never fails.
disarming a trap every couple of steps is very very annoying. But they are clearly totally ineffective at keeping people out. I do wonder why they bother,

You can also avoid running into them by jumping.

I like to always have a few crates on one of my characters because often tiems traps are these vents which you can easily block with crates. This way noone can run into them and you don´t have to bother about them anymore.

If you are talking about the tomb in act 1 and the room where you get the spear then you only need to disarm the trap on the sarcophagus because it is the one that will cause the rest of the traps to trigger. Same with the cellar in the toll house. You only need to disarm the pressure plate in the secret room and the other traps won’t trigger.

I personally wish disarming traps would give XP like in the older games, that way it would not be as tedious.

So run through them and heal the damage after. Problem solved.

It's even more tedious that way, because they you feel like you have to bother with them just to get the exp. At least in BG3 I can just avoid the traps or blow them up from a distance or whatever and not feel like I'm giving up "free" exp.

You have to remember that most "people" will be level 1 (2 if they're "strong") random nobodies who will neither see the trap nor survive its action - or even if they manage to survive, they'll be running away like headless chickens. That's the intent - and the fact you are able to find all those goodies in that temple hints those traps did a pretty good job over the years.

Hahaha likely story. :steamhappy:
Like everything else in this game, it rapidly becomes tedious.
