Wyll Romance
So, from what I can see with all characters, you can full stop their romance in Act 1 and while still managing to get decent approval. But, Wyll always prompts an Act 2 romance, even if I never expressed interest ( for example, I don't try to kiss him at the Tiefling party

Is there a way to prevent Wyll from dancing? Lol I know it sounds so trivial, but I truly hate getting that scene when I have absolutely no interest in romancing him during specific runs.

If aiming for Shadowheart don't think anyway around it besides maybe not encouraging him to dance during his Dialogue in Act 1. Saying you would like to see that when he mentions he can do a specific dance.
Only way to not activate those scenes for sure is already being in a relationship with someone. I romanced Karlach on first playthrough and never got that scene or had Gale flirt with me.
Been trying to romance Shadowheart on this next playthrough. That dance scene triggered which was first time seeing it and Gales been somewhat flirting with me.
Seems like she takes the longest to make official.
Only becoming official after finishing the Nightsong. Oddly enough she still acts like you broke up with her when choosing someone else before finishing the Nightsong.

Perhaps you choose the first or the second option when he was talking about his past as a dancer in Waukeen's Rest. Both were about wanting to see him dance.

I've never seen any dialogue about Wyll dancing in any of my playthroughs, so I can't tell you how to avoid it because I don't even know how to trigger it.

I don't really know, but I would say just don't talk to him at the party, since that seems to be where some of the romantic subtext starts.

Or finish act 2 with fewer long rests, I guess.

Not really so odd for someone to act like you broke up with them if you "choose someone else".

I was trying to do a full Shadowheart arc and Lae'zel came to me at night and wanted to fight. I fought her, and then Shadowheart said I had chosen Lae'zel instead of her. So I reloaded and told Lae'zel to go sleep it off and refused to fight. Romance still on with Shadowheart.

I guess maybe Larian could just spell it out for you which moments are romance triggers, but mostly they are pretty obvious.

Afaik, Wyll's dancing scene is bugged. First, it does not care if you are in relationships with anyone else (maybe randomly, because in one PT I did not get it, but in another one I did all with the same LI). Second, should you react in any way other than complete rejection, your old romance stops even if you officially "break up" with Wyll.

Avoid mentioning any dancing ever but if it bugs on you - say a stern "no".

In other relationships early on others will not pursue you. Yet with her even after the shared kiss. Companions will continue to pursue you. So the relationship really didn't seem official.
You seriously trying to make a case out of this ♥♥♥♥? when I never said anything regarding if actually true or false just that it felt odd to me?

I hate that scene too it’s so cringe.
I always play a human male on steroids , being big muslcular and hairy

Having wyll dance like a goof then look at me ask me “may I?” As if I’m his prom date girl or something makes me want to smash his face.

I also hate that there is no option to not engage at all, like you either have to insult him, or compliment his moves or just watch him in awe like a virgin high school girl watching her first crush…

No option to just quietly let him dance and go to bed.

I always just tell him to F off and go to bed leading to him doing his sad puppy face but I don’t care about his feelings anyways . He’s lucky I didn’t smash his face for even thinking that my char is gay

It seems to be bugged even if you reject him. After I rejected him and left camp with him in my party in the Last Light Inn, I tried speaking to him and all the menus disappeared from the screen. I can't select or move any of my characters but other NPCs still move around as if nothing is wrong.

So I had this earlier. I was able to skip through it by hitting spacebar like 4 times. He apparently was saying lines and apologizing for coming on too strong when I rejected him.

The easiest way to stop people making advances, I've found it to not speak to them at the party.

Tell him no thanks after the dancing invite, he shouldn't come on to you again.

I didn't speak to Wyll at the party. Just had 100 approval because I am a goodie two shoes and I keep him in party.
