Meeting Elminster on an evil Dark Urge playthrough (minor spoilers ig)

I'm currently doing an evil dark urge playthrough which means I gnawed Gail's hand off (still have it with me as a keepsake) and I was wondering if I was to head to Moonrise via the Underdark if Elminster is still going to be there asking for Gail?
I went the overland route because I went through the Underdark last time (good Dark Urge playthrough, Gail was alive) and I'm supposed to meet the followers of the Absolute using the mountain path so that's what I did, but I am curious what would happen if I were to go through the underdark way - just not curious enough to load my save back and trek. Has anyone done this?

Since Elminster is at the Mountain Pass as well, if you take that route, you have your answer.

If you take the Mountain pass instead of the Underdark, you meet Elminster there. If he was not there, then you do not meet him if Gale is dead.

Is that clear?

He is tied to Gale's personal quests so you miss out on him during evil dark urge you ended the gale if I recall right

Can't tell if you are trolling or if you really don't understand that Elminster will be waiting at which ever route you pick, as in, if you go through the Mountain Pass, he will be there. Since according to your post, you've been through the Mountain Pass and he was not there, that means he does not show up if Gale is dead.
