What build would you think from Bard? I know college of swords is strong with two hand crossbows, but I thought this took time to come online? Or is it effective as soon as you hit level 3?

Was playing TB, monk 8/fighter 4, in a coop game recently and it's ridiculous. You literally pick up and throw human sized enemies like it's nothing, have huge AC from fighter levels, (or race stuff) for the armour+shield and can do a flurry of TB boosted blows as a bonus action.
Even if you don't have one of the several weapons that return to your hand when thrown you can pack around a bunch of javelins and +1 throwable weapons, wreck things, and them pick them all up/reuse them after.
Then on top of that you can have some helpful monk subclass abilities and same for fighter. Yeah I was enjoying it, but it was a bit overkill. We were playing on tactician and just obliterating everything.
Edit: sidenote- you have to hit lvl 20 strength to 'throw human sized enemies like it's nothing.' Just thought I should be clear on that.
Just watching your monk solo video :) Would be good to hear you talk through your choices as you clearly know the mechanics very well
Sorcerer/Paladin.
Gloomstalker/Assassin.
Champion/Berserker/Thief.
Thank you. Added TB Monk in the edit and I'll collate votes for each build/class
Thank you. I added in as an edit to my opening post voted as warlock/darkness variant
Thank you. I added the above as votes in an edited opening post
Con: You rely on pots of speed for your haste, and arrows for AOE (although you can get a ton of attacks every turn and you're near impossible to hit if you build that way.)
Really all this shows is how broken the game is.
Why champion specifically?
If you don't make an abusive usage of long rest, you need at least 2 characters with high DPS with their weapons and 1 with utility spells (magic missiles, silence, darkness and other spells which turn the tide of battles).
If the DPS come from a warrior, berserk, gloomstalker, thief... isn't that important.
For the utility the choice is a bit more important because no class has the full kit of powerful spells, but bards are probably on top of the list (can do ALL the utility jobs alone and it's a decent fighters with some subclass).
For the last slot your are very free, but if you lack a character with DEX or CHA it should be your priority.
Because must often all the important jobs are already taken care off by the previous characters I have 1 spot left for anything else, so I like to go with a wizard to complement the DPS/utility depending of the needs of the moment, but I guess anything can do the job.
