Report a translation problem
The entrance is meant to be taken from upstairs. I do not recall if you just could open it without solving the "puzzle" if you come from downstairs. I think the last time I was there I could not open it and left it alone since I already knew how to open the door.
Tried it the other day on a fresh playthrough because I was curious myself.
To the defiled temple, yes.
Goblin camp puzzle & down to the outpost is meant to be the official way -into- the Underdark.
Not counting the jump easter egg or hidden hag entrance
The stone door is a one-way only door.
I strongly recommend not to spoil yourself by using search engines to play the game.
