Underwater Prison
After I killed Gortash at his coronation, the Foundry was destroyed as a result. Am I now cut off from the Underwater Prison?

I don't think so. Talking to the demon chick will allude to the killing of the Duke, but he's still in the prison.

Not sure personally but I don't think it's ideal. The chain is buggy to begin with. Ideally I feel you free everyone from the Underwater Prison first including a story point for wyll which pisses off Gortash then you do the Foundry and tell them about the prisoners who you freed then kill Gortash is how I've always done it. The whole thing is pretty wanky mess including the prison. Pure head ache honestly. You may have missed out on something involving the gnomes questline with the Foundry being destroyed at the least and maybe the whole Prison at the most. You may be alright though I wish I had more info but your more braver then me taking on Gortash right away. I salute you.

Yes, you are not supposed to agro at the coronation, it breaks things.

I assumed I broke the prison when the foundry was destroyed as it gives me now way to get to the sub.

It takes like 2 fights to find out. And they are very easy fights. I'm pretty sure it's still there. The foundry doesn't have any key for the sub.

visit the temple of the sea goddess (i can't remember her name) they'll give you a quest to slay a beast that drowned one of their followers, that should give you a path to follow

I didn't kill Gortash at his coronation but I did before doing the Iron Throne. After killing Gortash, the submarine driver leaves his note of resignation. At that point, I also got the quest update that Duke Ravengard died.

AFAIK killing Gortash at the coronation (which is probably the coolest fight in the entire game) basically breaks a lot of Act 3. GJ there Larian!!

Yes. Killing gortash too soon without disabling steel watch will: automatically kill the gondians resulting in the foundry blowing up ( but the steel watch will still be active making traversing the city horrible), and will also sink the iron throne killing the hostages and duke ravenguard.

It's silly because not only is there no reward for winning a harder version of his fight, but it actively breaks most of Act 3 since the automata remain aggroe'd forever.

I'm still pretty sure it's not an auto thing that the prison goes away. I've played through 8 times, but I'm pretty sure when I did it the first time Mizora lied and said the Duke was dead, but I was still able to rescue him. And it's really not hard to go check if you have your save. You have the 5 really weak worgs and the submarine operator. That's the only barrier to checking.
