Club of Hill Giant Strength (spoiler)

I thought I'd share this because I've only ever found the club of hill giant strength in one particular way and it seems kind of obscure.

At the top of the Arcane Tower in the Underdark, if I cast blade of daggers on the construct that's standing in the corner under the roof...the club will be on the floor when I'm picking up loot. Recently, I tried thunderwave in the same corner (after I couldn't find the club) and the club dropped out of somewhere. There might be other ways to discover this club but I've not figured it out. The club gives the wielder a 19 str and is a light weapon. In my humble opinion it is a great weapon for a rogue, like Astarion with little strength...if nothing else, it allows them to jump further.

I have done several playthroughs, including my current one, where the stool simply doesn't exist. I don't know if there's some kind of requirement for it to appear, but sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't.

Update: I think I figured out what's going on. There's an animated armour standing right on top of it and I can't mouse over/select it because of the armor. There doesn't seem to be any way to get the armour to move, short of reloading and fighting Bernard instead of placating him.
