What are you supposed to get for selling Aylin to Loroakan?
He acted as if the quest should be complete, said he would give me my well earned reward, but I have not got any reward of any kind and the quest is still in my journal.

What are you supposed to get? Is this yet another broken quest?

From my limited interactions with both of them Loroakan is both a better and more pleasant person.
Lorroakan is literally a phony with delusions of Grandeur. He is so desperate for recognition as a great sorcerer or an important figure he is willing to bind a celestial being to give himself immortality despite it being both an objectively abhorrent thing to do(remember celestials are objectively good in the setting).

Dayme Aylin is dope as ♥♥♥♥. She fights for the light and she is unapologetic about who she bangs or her desire to do so. Absolute giga chad and the only actual good strong female character in the game.

She's a hyper aggressive .... that uses powers she didnt earn to bully the weak who is happy to commit murder against a guy she has never heard of at the drop of a hat.

Lorroakan is an ass, but she is an ass who also has divine powers that she uses to be a monsterous ass. And it's worse in that when you pit her against the necromancer she gets her ♥♥♥♥ pushed in so she's only capable of bullying people who are no match for her.

So she's willing to kill a wizard who has basically put a bounty on her head to capture her and lock her in a prison to steal her immortality, just like Ketheric Thorm had done to her for around a century...?

I'm with her.

Peace of mind. That aasimar is obnoxious.

“Hyper aggressive”
-She relatively chill in pretty much all observed circumstances outside of someone directly threatening the safety of her, her mom/deity, and/or her wife

“Uses power she didn’t earn to bully the weak”
-She has to operate within the standards of her mother/deity. She’s not a paladin or cleric, but it’s abundantly clear that she would lose the vast majority (if not all) of her power were she to forsake Selune. Running around killing random people is not something she can just do unless she has good cause/reason

-Also the “guy she has never heard of” is straight up trying to steal her immortality for himself after she just dealt with 100 years of Ketheric pulling that same garbage days before. It’s already a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up thing to do, but stack a century’s worth of pain and trauma on to oh that and it’s no wonder the dude winds up getting snapped like a breadstick

“The necromancer”
-Which one? Balthazar had the power of Shar working in his favor when Aylin was imprisoned. She was weakened immensely at that point hence why Shadowheart is able to casually stab her in a cutscene. Ketheric was an avatar of Myrkul (who she seems to do variably well against in game) and also had control of a netherese empowered elder brain. It’s understandable that someone who is wielding the same power that effectively/nearly killed a full on deity before (Mystra) would be able to defeat her

Your reward is missing out on one of the dopest cutscenes in the game, of Dame Aylin breaking Lorroakan's back over her knee.

Also Lorroakan will replace Dame Aylin/Isobel for the "Gather Your Allies" quest, for what it's worth.

This scene was great.

Literally had me going, "She's gonna Bane him isn't she.

Yep."
Replacing an obnoxious aasimar with an equally obnoxious wizard as a friend.

You're playing D&D.

She's a Vengeance Paladin - literally to the T. Their purpose is to execute evil-doers whatever baggage they have and whatever masque they perform. She was also imprisoned and tortured by Balthazar for 100 years.. that's absolutely going to affect you.

Lorroakan's an insufferable ass who literally puts everyone under his wing into great danger, treats them like actual garbage, and has delusions of becoming something great. Much of his power is smoke and mirrors.

At least how it has played out for me she has no idea who the wizard is or why he is after her (or if he is actually even after her or if he just thinks the nightsong is some kind of jewel or relic like everyone else does). You go up to her and tell her he is looking for her and she is immediately "Let's go murder this fella then!"

Ignoring all of that though, Loroakan is harmless and she is a demigod. Saying it is acceptable for her to go after him with murderous intent is the same as saying it's okay to kerb stomp a toddler for saying "I'm gonna get you".

You are making baseless assumptions. Additionally fallen angels are a dime a dozen in this setting so...

He's less obnoxious, if only because he doesn't sound like a bad medieval reenactor.

In my playthrough he told her he wanted to use her to be immortal and instigated the fight. I wouldn't called that committing murder at the drop of a hat.

Nothing. You're supposed to kill her to get the good spear.

Ok, quick question, how did you enter the upper floor of the tower?

Because you literally have to choose the portal next to the plaque that says "The Nightsong is an immortal person" or something along those lines. Any other portal will kill you.

And if you ask him, he presents his plan to imprison Dame Aylin for eternity to steal her immortality for himself, and you get to point out to him that that's exactly what Thorm did.

And it's less like curbstomping a baby, and more like curbstomping a baby armed with dangerous magic who has hired mercenaries to go after you.

I'd stomp that baby,

I'm still with her.

Calling Lorroakan harmless is being willfully blind.

I am not sure why you think any of these questions are relevant. We are talking about what AYLIN knows, not what LOROAKAN knows. AYLIN has spent the last century locked in a broom closet, she can't know anything about the world at large without someone telling her, and she has spent the entire game doing nothing in your camp so you have no indication she knows LOROAKAN'S plans before you tell her. Which means she is just wierdly aggressive.

Unless you are bringing these up to suggest Loroakan isn't harmless, in which case

Lorroakan is literally a phony with delusions of Grandeur.

He's a random lvl 8 guy squatting in someone greater's abandoned house. lvl 8 is dangerous to mooks and the like, not to demigods.

So your argument is that the game is missing hundreds of lines of expositional dialogue of the PC explaining everything you said to Dame Aylin about Lorroakan, and that makes Dame Aylin the bad guy?

Not the guy who wants to imprison/enslave her?

Delusion of grandeur or not, it's very obvious Lorroakan is the bad guy here.
