Mask of shapeshifter no longer works (or it has limited uses?)

I was trying out different shapes and for some reason it stopped working.
I still have a save where it does work but once you shape shift few times it stops.

Does it have limited uses?
I tried always breaking the spell then casting but it does not matter.
I kinda have buffs related to shapeshifting so i'd like to find it out...

It shouldn't. You can use it rather relentlessly... I have done so several times. Chances are you encountered a bug. Would not surprise me if it was associated with Patch 3, however, I won't make that claim.

I haven't had issues with it personally as of patch 3, but I won't say it's unlikely. I'd actually bet that there is a mod conflict somewhere, if at all over patch 3 issues.

I noticed that I cannot shapeshift to "big body" models with it anymore, when my character is normal size.

All in all I feel the latest patch broke my game, in annoying ways for no reason.

Did you try to point spell directly on your character? Worked for me.

yes i equip it , cast on myself, equip the correct gear back.. used to work just fine

Same here. I used the female strong drow (Lolth sworn) a lot as it opened several interesting options, but now that disguise no longer works. Other ones, including other drow, still work fine and Shadowheart is able to use her ability to change herself into the strong female drow. Is there a place to report this as a possible bug?

Same here. I’m on ps5. I noticed it just stopped working after hotfix 7.

I've noticed this to and think it's a bug.

Try different shapes. Certain specific races didn't seem to work or would take multiple tries to actually stick, but transforming into a small race seems to always work still.
