Lorroakan/Nightsong Trouble

Hi!

So I opted to lie to Lorroakan about Nightsong and told her she was dead. The questline now prompts me to tell Aylin about him, but when I went to talk with Aylin again and start the fight, I have no option to do so? I only have one dialogue option asking what she wishes to do with her newfound freedom.

The quest says that he thinks she is dead AND that I should speak to Aylin about him and won't resolve. Did I do something wrong? Is this supposed to happen? Any way I can fix it without having to go hours back in my save? Thanks!

Did you back out of the conversation at any time after starting it and are now trying to start it again? If you talked to her at anytime -after- talking to Lorroakan, but don't bring it up to her, and finish the conversation, it'll never come up again. Not sure if it's broken or just very unforgiving.

Oh, definitely. That's what did it! I saw the dialogue and wasn't ready for a fight and put it off! Thanks for clearing that up, hoping it's broken and just not that unforgiving :')

It's not only talking to Lorroakan. It's also finding out what he has planned via other means. If you happen to talk to Aylin but don't tell her right away then the portals will not show up. I learned this the hard way and will not talk to Aylin again after I set foot in that shop or click on a poster, until I'm ready to do the quest.

The game loves to pit the players in combat situations where they are in serious disadvantage.
Aylin is a brick, she will attack Lorroakan head on- a loose.
Attacking Lorroakan with his top invulnerability and myrmidon squad is also a disadvantageous situation.
Luckily, to the exception of the final Netherbrain battle, you can always prepare and f*ck the plot over like a proper tactician. So offer some gunpowder+oil+wine barrels to Lorroakan. He will be overjoyed.

I dont know if this bug is new, but its annoying. I cant talk to Aylin about the Lorroakan situation at all, after i decided to do some other stuff first. Even when the qustbook tells me to talk to Aylin about it.

I ended up just fighting Lorroakan without her lol. Fight went ok, but if you saved rolan and his family, make sure you don't kill the dude he was shooting arrows at (I forget his name :P ). After the fight, Aylin acted like she was present for it but the quest resolved!

I've done this twice now.

First time I lied to him. He was disappointed, but then just let me loot everything he owned that wasn't in his direct line of sight. After that I shot some Eldritch Blast beams in his face, he got upset about it, and I killed him.

Second time I just straight up said, "I'm not letting you do that to my friend" and started the fight ASAP. Same result -- I killed him and looted his tower and vaults.

Why? I killed him. Didn't seem to be a problem.

Idk, rolan went aggro every time i killed that dude instead of knocking him out! Maybe a bug?

I spoke to Lorroakan and convinced him she was dead. The quest line says to tell her about him anyways. But she hasn't shown back up at camp at all to even prompt thr dialogue?
I've gone back to try and speak to him again, long rested several times. She's nowhere to be found to finish the quest
