Mods folder is empty. Still can't play multiplayer because GUSTAVDEV mod error? I've never installed that
Why does this have to be so complicated? Why can't any mods just be contained to a simple Mods folder? I have to uninstall and reinstall just to play multi player? That will take all day. If I do that, will I lose all my save progress?

If you have the BG3 mod manager installed, that makes it easier to see the mods.

You will also want to look at the override directory. You can delete the whole public folder.

Go into your Baldurs Gate 3 install folder and the mods folder within (Steam > steamapps > common > Baldurs Gate 3 > Data > Mods)

The host should compile their GustavDev folder (and SharedDev folder if that problem pops up too) into a zip file and send it to their fellow players. Have the players overwrite their own GustavDev/SharedDev folders with the contents of the Host's and it should work. That's how my friend and I fixed it after updating several mods.

Didn't have to remove any of them. It just worked.

Hope it works for you!

What are you talking about?

No, you will not lose your progress like that unless you cause file corruptions left and right.

Should have used Vortex and created separate profiles for solo and co-op play, and enjoyed use of the Purge button if for some reason you needed a pristine game structure back for a moment or three.

Tell that all the players who experienced issues because of Vortex.
I strongly recommend not using it.

Sorry that you can't figure out how to use a tool. Sure, blame the tool for the shortcoming.

While I don't share Angelfish's dislike for Vortex I'm pretty sure any issue they have with it is going to be due to their high standards for quality, not a shortcoming in their understanding.
