Why were dyes fixed and can we get back to pre patch 3 dyes?

I really don't know why they were fixed in the first place. We went from dark and gritty armours, to obnoxiously outrageous look. As far as I've looked all the heavy, medium and even some light leather armours are affected by this latest tinkering.
Also, while I'm at it, why don't we get preview on dyes?

Preview on dyes right now consists of F5 F8. It would be nice not to have to save a reload.

My Ocean dye :( gods, I loved that dye.. and its like.. so tacky now. I guess i'm sticking with Muddy Red on everything.. I think Black and Azure was still okay. People asked for a new preview of dye- not "let's neon everything up!" dyes.. I'm SO flippin' tired of vibrant colors killing of darker tones because "dark is bad"... let me be moody dammit!

RIP Ocean and Swamp Green. Not all of us wants to look like clowns, Larian. Some of us like subtle, edgy and tasteful.

You could have been heros by just giving us more dye colors but instead decided to be a villain in snatching away our favorites. The fact you didn't think this would upset some if not a majority of us is frankly shocking given your track history to understanding our feedback.

When Larian feels the suffering caused by the dye has passed its peak, they will handle the problem.
A whole lotta other priorities right now, one would assume.

This. Unfortunately.

Instead of altering dyes, they could have added them in - which would have been preferable. They clearly showcased that much with the same update saying they "added in" items to the game at several points. Hence my, equal confusion to the OP, and many others.
