So you are also having this issue? That's good news. I am happy to wait as long as I need to to play it but lowering all of the graphics on a sixty dollar game was not going to be an option for me. The graphics are too good to enjoy playing with virtual blocks.

Very frustrating, does seem like certain events trigger it but once it deteriorates, it won't improve. Starting a new game/going to older saves does fix it for me, but that isn't a workable solution.
1. Download https://github.com/Norbyte/bg3se/releases/download/updater-v3/BG3SE-Updater-with-Console-v3.zip and put DWrite.dll and ScriptExtenderSettings.json in your game directory "bin" folder, the console will start automatically as a separate window when you launch the game.
Load into a saved game
type anything(random letters or numbers for example) in the console and press enter, it should say "entering server Lua console."
Afterwards, copy paste in these commands:
TeleportToPosition("DEC_Druids_Statue_Wolf_A_Big_A_Destruct_471a3593-c5f2-4330-a245-babd7e292414",0,0,0,"",0,0,0,0,0) TeleportToPosition("DEC_Druids_Statue_Bear_A_Big_A_Destruct_eed71bbc-faf9-491a-859a-e68a5e74ed74",0,0,0,"",0,0,0,0,0)
Hit Enter in console
Return to game and save
The lag happens immediately on entry into the game. It lags during adventuring, fights and cutscenes, I guess it could be a fps issue as well.
