Broken Effigy - Gauntlet of Shar
What is it used for ? I read there are suposed to be rat there, but I met them earlier, killed some of them and spared the others, they revealed a stash. But nothing else and at this Broken Effigy there is a book and nothing there. I have not killed the demon yet nor completed the last trial in the library.

those rats are actually all one guy split into many rats, that's why the demon is cursed to stay there until all the shar worshippers are dead, but he doesn't know about the rats

I don't know if you can do anything with the effigy now that you already talked with the rats...try finishing what you started if you can
