I cannot, for the life of me, choose between Warlock, Sorcerer or multiclass...please help
So, i've been having a REALLY tough time deciding between Warlock, Sorcerer or Multiclassing Sorclock or other ideas; hell, i've spent more time ingame choosing this over playing the game itself!

I love casting Eldritch blasts, and two attacks per turn with the pact of the blade sounds fun; plus, upscales spells are always fun to use

On another hand, i enjoy the idea of using Holding Person and Haste with multicast, and throwing fireballs around is ALWAYS fun

Maybe even both? 2 lvl in warlock and the rest in sorcerer? Hell, why not 2 fighter/10 warlock and make a magic warrior of sorts?

I want a character with good and reliable long range damage options, and some good/ok CC options as well. I like doing THE BIG DAMAGE with my MC and seeing things exploding.

I'm playing the game as if it was the tabletop version, so i'm not going to abuse long rests being super easy to do.

Sorcerer/Warlock multiclass is one of the most potent combinations in the entire game, very much viable since both feed off of Charisma. You can have your buffed Eldritch Blast and spend into Sorcerer for the metamagic. I would personally recommend the Wild Magic subclass for Sorcerer, but that is only because it made every encounter much more fun.

Sorcerers have some options for spells, lots of slots, and some big boom type concepts. their bread and butter are spells, falling back on cantrips when needed. Their slots come back with a long rest.

Warlock's bread and butter is one cantrip (best in the game for combat, bar none) and the buffs it gets, with a couple of spell slots to use tactically... that recharge on a short rest. They are, in essence, the "basic fighter" of the casters... with the reliability that entails.

Sorlock.

You don't have to 'decide' anything. It only costs 100g, a trivial amount, to do a full respec on a character. Including companion characters.

Spec up whatever you want and try it out. If you don't like it, revert to Pure or try a different build. Easy.

Have Fun :)

Eldritch scales with char lvl so multiclass warlock is so incredibly viable

Have they fixed the issue with multiclass warlocks not being able to use their warlock slots until they run out of the other class's slots?

That issue started with Patch 1, and I actually stopped playing that campaign since.

I get what you mean, and i'm currently having fun with a 1 Sorc / 2 Warlock build, but idk...i just don't like the feeling of doing something when i could be doing something EVEN BETTER / more fun, you know?

Maybe i'll go Sorcerer to lvl 5 to grab a fireball and then start leveling up warlock

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, i really can't decide what to do

I play SorLocFtr and that has never been the case for me. 96 hours in game so far.

If you plan on taking companions and non respeccing, there's also a question if you want to take Gale and/or Wyll since doubling up is not as exciting.

Yeah, a Wizard is different from a Sorc but it's still pretty redundant.

One thing youll miss out on Duel Specing is the loss of extra hits of Eldritch Blast but other than that, the loss of getting 3 eldritch blasts can be counter acted by the additional spell slots from Sorcerer.

Doesn't eldritch blast scale with level? meaning its gonna still hit with multiple d10s every turn and have multiple beams?

I was under the impression that you got the 3 Eldritch blasts from the Warlock level, not the overall level but maybe I misunderstood.

Shadowheart, Astarion and Lae'zel are my chosen companions, not respecting them outside of their original class.
