I used the BG3 mod manager
If so, did you use the script extender and place the DWrite.dll file into Steam\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\bin (the pathing where your game is installed)?
e: if you are confident that the mods are gone, you can try verifying integrity of the game files.
"...both with and without mods..."
That means you have had Mods ever since you installed them. You cannot just 'disable' or 'uninstall' them. The code remains and in some cases actually interferes with the original code and files.
You will need to clean the current BG3 installation off your system and start again. That includes deleting the entire Larian Studios folder in the AppData\Local directory Law mentioned above.
Once you install mods, that's it. You really cannot go back to the original state of the game without a full clean off and install.
Good Luck
P.S. Don't use Mods until Larian has an official Mods policy in place.
Oof, well, thank you. I'll do a fresh install and see if that works out.
Don't forget to delete that Larian Studios folder in AppData\Local. That is very important to do.
Also turn off Cloud Save so it does not populate the game with corrupt saves.
I did all that and I'm still crashing in that specific part of the nautiloid, making the game unplayable
Do you have the slim male body mod? That ended up being it for me.
