Shadowheart's Hand Curse/Cure?
I am at the House of Grief in Act 3 and am at the decision to save her parents or kill them. I think I am gonna save em cuz it seems the outcome is I just continue to get a temporary debuff every so often and her parents live.
She doesn't really have to be a slave to Shar anymore just has some pain here and there I think? (Could someone clarify?)
Anyways, I was reading about how in the Underdark u can find a mushroom and cure her hand curse, which I didn't do cuz I blew it up on accident. But if I did do it, wouldn't that mean when I got to this part I could just save the parents and thats it cuz I already removed the curse? or how does that work?
Thanks!

If you mean the Noblestalk (since you said you blew it up), I do not think that has anything to do with Shadowheart. The only plant I know is tied to Shadowheart is the Night Orchid and you find that out in a dialogue with her.

Getting the Noblestalk for Derryth is just a quest for her, although not sure if it effects her having more in her shop in Act 3 or not if you do not get it and it acts as a full heal and can be used in combat like heal potions so I like buying them off her then .

No, the Noblestalk can be used with Shadowheart to help her retrieve part of her suppressed memory. However, it does nothing for her hand.

You can either give it to Derryth, or use it with Shadowheart in Act 1, but you can't do both.

I did find hte noblestalk and give it to Shadowheart, you get a special set of dialogue that you otherwise wouldn't know about her and it does seem to reduce the frequency of her hand aches but doesn't entirely stop them. Without spoiling any of the lore, her hand aches aren't a disease or malady that can be easily cured any more then taking aspirin for a tick biting you if you don't remove the tick. :P

Killing her parents doesn't remove the curse - I went with that option and she'd still kept getting the random pains from her hand

Just a FYI: even if she kills her parents the curse is still there. Not sure if it's a bug or not - but every so often she will go "ughn, are the gods truely this petty?" while the hand injury is glowing
