It's a bug, right? they're going to fix this in the future?
Not a bug, it's a feature
Hope devs will make it optional asap
If no one tells them, that is not going to happen

Already did, but thanks for posting this!
The more people report it, the better. Then we can hope for a hotfix soon or at least that being addressed for their next patch.
Issue also relates to some items, like an example, after I dismissed Karlach - my main character got her equipped items (from already completed quests) https://i.ibb.co/mc37yCX/1.png
So basically it applies to everything which has the orange markers which make them "very important stuff" or quest related items.
It is not a bad idea, but still a big bother with the sudden change. After all it worked well before without that "feature".
I would have welcomed a different approach or at least an explaination by the developers why they did that. I do not mind if they say "there was a gamebreaking bug and this prevents that". But I do mind that they change something quite significant with inventory management without clear reason why they did that.
When a party member is leaving they already do that. But if a party member is just at camp, they are good as storage as well. Otherwise, theoretically, they should end up nude as well with ALL of the items being dropped. But then having them put in the travellers chest makes more sense.
No, this current setting is too specific. The only time where it ever would make sense is if you get into an area where you need to bring XYZ with you, but you want to deal with the enemy/boss alone for some solo run yadayada. Then you send them to camp but you cannot get yourself to camp, so getting quest items makes it safe. But when that would ever happen?
Maybe it is just a patch to address some weird speedrunner exploit after all...
Ew
Yeah i sent in a bug report about it last night. i can only assume it's a bug in some way, as i can see no reason for this to be the desired outcome.
Keyrings are meh, but i like the alchemy and supply bags because supply bags can get heavy, so trading with someone else to get a lighter bag can be good, otherwise there are rare instances where i may have the party split, and having any herbs or food go into the proper bags instead of cluttering up the inventory is the preferable option on any character.
