So the verifying the files should be just fine. Worst case you have to reapply a mod.
Does that mod screw up my game files?
What happens if I verify files and it forces me to reinstall the game... do you know if I can redeploy the mods again and continue my saved games? I use the Vortex Mod Manager, so, in theory, this is not impossible to re-deploy the mods... I just have no idea if my saves are safe.
But if you say, installed the game on another PC you would have to be an extremely lucky person or extremely talented modder to bring your mods over, redeploy them exactly as they were and still have your saves work.
As long as you don't update anything (and the game doesn't update) load order remains, but a single mod update in vortex resets the deployed order. Not big deal if you only use 2 mods, very VERY big deal if you use 30 where some mods wanna sit at the top and some at the bottom. Basically, it is very easily possible to bork your saves when modding with vortex, slightly less so with BG3MM because BG3MM has profiles that actually work.
So you can have a mod setup that is set in stone.... anyhow, the person you quoted talked about pre-release stuff. No mod in existence replaces main files of the game anymore (Again, except native mod loader but that is a special case)
