His percentage isn't even that low so quite frankly, I have no idea what you're doing wrong to fail this hard at it. 😅
The legendary twohanded githyanki sword however required a lot of savescum. As the only way to get it early is with disarm warrior but you cant use laezel.
My last attempt I command dropped him. He dropped the sword but it wasn't on the ground anywhere. I figured it dropped but was in his inventory so I had to kill him. Took forever and got him to 8 hp before tweedle dee and tweedle dum came in and decided to one shot my whole team. It's just stupid. Over an hour with nothing for it. Just wasted.
Drop weapon command works for the githyanki sword as well. That's how I got it after 20 or so reloads.
I did that as well. I collected all 4 barrels it allows and dropped them near him only for them to drop about 5-10 feet away. It doesn't let you place them accurately which makes it hard. Trust me I tried 4-5 times. I have done these suggestions. Blow him up, he survives with 30+ hp and mindflayer dies he goes on to one shot my party. Command him to drop, sword disappears and before I can kill him the cronies fly into existanse and one shot my party. I just see no answer in the hour or two a day that I get to play.
Basically, here's what you do:
• Prepare Command and Protection From Evil and Good on Shadowheart if you are not yourself playing a Cleric.
• When the fight on the bridge starts have Shadowheart cast Command: Drop on Zhalk. Save just before castimg so you can reload if needed. Move Shadowheart as close to the mindflayer as you can.
• On her next turn have her cast Prot From Evil/Good on the mindflayer. You may need to use Jump to get close enough.
• So, you can either grab the sword and run if that's all you want, or proceed to farm xp by getting some kills, up to you.
• Have Laezel collect all the tanks (including the one in the chamber where you find Shadowheart). Place them around Zhalk and the mindflayer, but sligjtly further away from Zhalk.
• Now, you can equip Laezel with Everburn and have her wail away on Zhalk (savescum if you want, only accepting hits from her) until the adds arrive (I've had more issues killing Zhalk too quickly and then the minsflayer turns on me).
• Make sure somebody (preferably the weakest character in this fight) is next to the controls rdy to connect before the timer runs out.
• Shadowheart has Firebolt if your MC doesn't and can ignite the nautiloid tanks. You can use them to finish off Zhalk and the mindflayer, or you can try to time it to hit the adds too (you gotta line them up using the mindflayer, which can be tricky). They have a LOT of treasure and the xp is nice. Loot all the other mindflayer and cambion corpses while you do this (a couple random gems).
• Keep an eye on the timer, savescum as much as you need - before every attack if necessary - to get it all done in time.
Hold left-Alt to see what's on the ground.
