If this patch doesn’t have glamour/transmog/layered armor then damn, just throw the whole thing away and start over!

It really sucks having to turn off almost every helmet that I come across, or the fact that the starting armors is some of the most aesthetically pleasing ones. As a barbarian, I wish I could just wear my starting cloth for the whole game, shoot, I dyed it with the Drake General’s Dye and it looks beyond amazing.

Does anyone know if the devs talked about adding this at any point? For a game that’s as immersive as this, I can’t believe this isn’t in the game already. 😩

that sounds very much like modder territory to me. check Nexus mods and see if there isn't already something like that there. if so, there will be a small learning curve involved in getting their mod installer set up, then away you go.

There's no reason you can't just wear your barbarian's starter clothes the whole game, they don't use armour so there's little point upgrading it for the sake of a couple of bonus abilities you'll rarely use.

Cosmetic only and doesn't affect game play? I can't think of anything in this game I care about less. Let the modders handle it.

There are clothes that offer pretty significant benefits though — not having to use armor doesn't mean that you have to be butt-ass naked and statless all game. Personally I was using medium armor for quite some time until some really great clothing alternatives started popping up.

I play on a Steam Deck and after today plan on doing most of my playing on Mac, so mods aren't really too good an option for me.

The game would definitely benefit from a system that allows players to change appearance of their armor. After my first playthrough, the builds I had going for my main team made them look odd and took a bit away from the immersion.

This is a fantasy game, I really do not see why we can't have some scrolls or/and spells where we can enchant a piece of equipment to take appearance of another piece that fits the same slot.

No offense, but we can hardly help the small amount of player on Mac not getting mods.

I don't think they have advised "It's on the list" as they have with other things (photo mode, appeance change, ect), so it's not likely they are considering it currently.

Best advice would be to post on their fourm or bug them on the twit site. They don't check ours often.
