Drow help
After killing The Spectator a few of the drows were no longer turned into statues and were still alive will there be quests or anything with them later/ is there a point to not killing them and looting their Corpses?

Did you manage to kill their leader before the Spectator?

was i aupposed to? right now everybody is "alive" some are still statues but i want to know if i should use potions to turn them back into drows if that's even possible or if it's worth less because there's no quests with them later and no benefit to saving them in which case I would just kill them.

If you are a drow, leave them alive and talk to their leader. You can end the confrontation without violence. Or shapeshift into a drow. Otherwise, if the leader is dead, there is no downside to claiming their experience.

You get the same amount if you resolve the situation peacefully or kill them.

They are involved with the mourning frost staff that have to be rebuilt, and a quest starter for the adamantine forge.

Yeah but if I solve it peacefully I won't get to their loot however I don't mind missing their loot if it means that there's a quest with them later so is there?

Isn't the staff thing something I need to loot from them or at least a piece of it? And for the forge thing do they need to be alive to help me because the last person that had something related to it just attacked me?

As far as i know, the only way to resolve it peacefully is to be a female Drow and go with the [Drow] options, basically convincing him to abandon his quest. anything else i think results in him trying to kill you to keep his secret safe. No idea if using disguise self to turn yourself into a female Drow for the conversation will work or not.

That said, if you DO resolve things peacefully, you'll need to pickpocket him for his part of the staff. i was somehow able to get away with it without him getting violent afterwards

Theres 3 pieces of the staff to find in the underdark, and they have one. You dont need their quest starter for the forge, just lore, nothing more.
