Lorroakan fight *spoilers*
*spoilers*

I told Dame Aylin that he wanted to trap her, and then fought him with her when we teleported back to the tower.

At the end of the fight, Aylin felt... sad. It made me think there might be a way to avoid his death, and maybe get him as an ally? Anybody else try a different way?

just side with loro
I actually think giving Aylin to Lorroakan is rather hard to justify if youve just convinced Shadowheart to spare her and coaxing her to go Selunite. And Sharshadowheart goes angry on you if she cant kill Aylin or letting Balthazar take her.

well maybe after you knew her better after releasing you decided to reconsider the alliance. plus in my case i let SH decide without interfering.
also, the way it's written, it's not even much of a betrayal. you can tell her "there's a wizard who put a bounty for delivering you, but don't go to him, because he's dangerous", to which she replies "i don't care, i'm going to ♥♥♥♥ him over, and you'll help me", without asking me if i actually want to fight him. well, if you want to ignore my advice and still fight him, do it alone. not that i actually needed a moral justification for getting rid of her.

Minor spoiler I guess: she doesn't get angry because she can't kill aylin - she gets angry because you try to tell her what to do, like every woman ever. It's a running theme with her, just stand back and trust her to do the right thing.

Now if only wyll had half her spine :P

In my fight she one shotted two of the elementals.
Nice, she has missed every single attack in both fights for me. Which makes her post fight cut scene and subsequent bragging all the more discordant

to be fair, all of the elementals I had paralyzed beforehand with crawler mucous.

I killed that mage without telling her anything. Didn't want her standing in a crossfire and being useless in a fight that was already easy enough.

If you don't take Aylin with you into that fight, you miss out on the cutscene of her doing the Bane move on Lorroakan's already dead body.

Brutal, and awesome.
If you speak with Karlach about the event after killing Lorroakan there is a dialogue option that points out that there is a darkness growing inside Aylin. I assume the centuries spent in the Shadowfell have effected her, but the writing in act 3 is soo sub par compared to previous acts that it really fails to explore or express that nuance clearly.
"her doing the Bane move on Lorroakan's already dead body.
"
I literally disintegrated him so she was just heel grinding ashes at that point. I figure maybe I should get her a fingerpainting set or something.

Some dank stuff like when she abused Ketheric's body after you finally beat him?

Literally just did the Bane move from the comics and broke his spine over her (plate amoured) knee. On an already dead guy :steamhappy:

EDIT: Just checked the scene on YT, I guess Lorroakan was barely alive still in the cutscene, but nevertheless very brutal.

Also, I had totally forgotten what she did to Ketheric xD

Aylin felt sad because she lost her connection to her mother, Selune, think of it as She has broken her Oath as a Paladin, because she sought to kill Lorroakan instead of purely defending herself. If I’m correct, If you kill Lorroakan without the Aid of Dame Aylin, she won’t lose favor with her mother and will still be happy you took down Lorroakan down.
I sided with fighting lorrokan. I cad invulnerable globe on team and didn't move. Cast cloud kill, conjure elemental water. And sniped at them, cloud kill killed lorrohan. Even 2 elementals got in my invulnerable globe was fine last 3cturns. Killed the mobs outside long range then the 2 left. Even though nightsong died, she is immortal and respawns.
