What class do you recommend for a multi-class sorcerer?
I was reading that at level 12 they give me a feat. But for example, if I add a warrior level, would I have proficiency in all three armors? I mean it would have 3 types of armor and 11 levels of magic.

I think you have to respec, start as lvl1 fighter/pld then do 11 levels of sorc for proper proficiencies, but maybe it's been fixed.

Gorgon. Half-way through act 3 (if you do the quest to prep for act 4 early) you get to choose your 1/3 class. You will gain levels in whatever you pick for every 3 levels of your main class. Gorgon is a really good choice for sorcerer as its petrifying glare ability has a damage and DC bonus that scales with your ability modifier in charisma. Gorgon will also give you a default 13 AC, which is really nice if you didn't pick dragon sorcerer for your subclass. Very fun combo, although the animation for the slithering is very wonky (you can still equip boots).

I did 4 levels of Bard. Get the added feat and twin spell some awesome Bard Controller type spells. I was thinking of taking 1 level of life cleric for better heals + 1 level of wizard to get some awesome prepared spells that don't rely on INT modifier. Otherwise classic 4 level dip in Warlock for eldritch blast + feat.

Depends on what you want to do... paladins are a thing, fighter 1 and 2 are thing... warlocks... bards... hell even cleric can get you heavy armor... at any level not like fighter that you need to take at level 1... to get that.

Thief with extra bonus action is always a thing for any class...

If you go on youtube, there are a bunch of variations with sorc multiclassing. Some that can do insane damage.

Sorceror and rogue . As if the game have the natural armor (13 + dex) from the draconic blood line. A rogue with high dex and decent CHA can be a effective dex tank and damage dealer. Beside having spells from 2 classes if go for arcane trickster you have more spells at your disposal.

Assuming this is for one party member only , this build work if you focus more on rogue levels and put some in sorceror levels. As you can have dedicated magic user who put levels in to a single class ( IE wizard who is at the highest level for those fun end game spells to use). Sorcorer and paladin is another good combo for a DPS role depending on how you split levels. Remember multi-classing it is a good idea to know what you want as not to have a jack of trade build that is not good at what X class is suppose to good at.

Yes, if you multiclassed into Fighter 1 you'd get proficiency for all types of armor, but benefits like this can be deceptively strong. If you have a 14 in DEX, mage armor, and a racial proficiency for shields, you already have an AC of 17. Add the Shield spell and all of a sudden you kind of just have 22 AC. The enemies max out at around +11 to hit, so already they need to roll an 11 at least to hit you at end-game. If everyone is just going to miss you anyways, is it really worth delaying your spell progression for a bunch of proficiencies you aren't going to use and the potential of increasing your already high AC by 1 or 2 later in the game?

The strongest multiclass I've personally seen is the Eldritch minigun one, where you abuse how Agonizing Blast and Potent Robe add damage to the lightning damage your Eldritch Blast does when you have Lightning Charges. That one is Fighter 2/ Warlock 2/ Sorcerer 8.

How it works is that Spellsparkler early game, and Markoheshkir later on, add Lightning Charges on attack, which applies lightning damage to your attacks. When you apply that lightning damage to Eldritch Blast, the Warlock invocation Eldritch Blast and the magic item Potent Robe add your Charisma bonus to both the Eldritch Blast's force damage and the Lightning Charge's lightning damage. So if you shoot one Eldritch Blast, and you have a Charisma of 20, you'll be doing 1d10 + 10 + 1 + 10 damage. If you stack up to a certain amount of Lightning Charges, you'll deal an additional 1d8 lightning in addition to the rest of the damage.

So you're total damage is 1d10 + 10 + 1 + 10 + 1d8 + 10 damage per Eldritch Blast. Since you get 2 of them at level 5, and 3 of them at level 11, Your damage is just going to be the above x2 or x3. which averages to 82 at level 5, and 123 at level 11.

So if you cast or swig a potion of Haste, use Quicken Spell, and use Action Surge, you're looking at over 400 or so damage in a single round at level 12, potentially that is. The beauty is that the damage never really falls off. Just Twin Haste on you and a Fighter or Paladin, and get to spamming. It's really broken.

If you just want the armor proficiencies, respec to start with a Tempest Cleric, that will give you all three armor proficiencies without costing you any spell slots.
