But they're not that important to our characters no ?
I can speak for others but for me Aylin was just that paladin who really like to Rp ( "THE NIGHTSONG IS NO MORE" cue flamboyant transformation) and Isobel was a sweet cleric who lost the father she loved in the past. That's good and all but we need to go to Baldur's gate yall.
I think the problem is it takes you out of the immersion of the game. Bad writing kills immersion and the bigger problem is bad writing is almost always exclusive to gay characters. It's a case of the person writing the character isn't gay and really is not invested in the character(s) or they are gay but not a good writer which results in amateurish scripts being pushed.
I cannot see a normal interaction in real life working out the way half of these characters have been written to act out. Even in the setting and theme of the D&D universe: I cannot see normal human beings acting this way by never so much as mentioning anything related to them or the fact they had a demi-god as a girlfriend/boyfriend at any point and then for them to act the way they do when the veil is lifted at the end of the act. Aylin basically changes from someone who is driven by their religion and thirst for revenge to, basically, Karlach. Right now Aylin spams the same line over and over in my camp(because my dumb ass invited her to my camp thinking there would be another interaction to confirm I actually wanted her there - there wasn't) saying she wants to "enjoy her woman's body" or whatever she says specifically(It's the same effect; her basically drooling over Isobel and and being very controlling).
EDIT: I tend to agree that the end of act 2, the culmination of Shadowhearts mission, and the end of the act, was a bit underwhelming, especially the rather blithe way they depicted the end of the curse. Wanted a bit more interaction with Halsin, the boy, and the Fist.
Except, she's the literal daughter of Selune so she's not really the descendant of a descendant of a person who laid with a celestial.
I have to tell you, that kind of hate, that expression of desire and disturbing behavior makes me sad for them. Angry, yeah, that people are that disgustingly gross, THAT full of hate that pixels drive them into that kind of rage. Some of you on these forums are getting close to that kind of hate. Maybe take a step back and touch grass, find the actual Jesus, talk sincerely to people who don't look like you do and don't share your sexual orientation.
This game, these characters, aren't some big woke agenda. You guys just call everything you hate, anything at ALL that isn't straight, white and male, 'woke'.
Get a new hobby. Please.
I wouldn't say its out of place at all for a Selunite demigod to be a lesbian. Selune and Shar's creation myth is absolutely dripping with lesbian subtext and their falling out reads like a bad breakup where Selune got the kids
Also you gotta factor in that she's mostly worshipped by women and the majority of her clergy are women so yeah. A lot of them be banging and ya'll gotta just live with it
Honestly, that's pretty much the only valid complaint once you get past the whining that there are lesbians ruining this game for him. Someone said it's not mentioned again but I was able to ask Halsin about it, if he's heard from his friend.
she immediately gets swatted and captured again after doing nothing.
You want so badly to believe that shes a "strong independent woman" character injected into media. but she literally can't do or achieve anything without the player characters' help.
Shes a damsel in distress, twice. She kind of helps out a little bit when you free her, but her help isn't that impactful.
She's written to be insignificant because the story can play out without her.
Yeah wtf are those games ?
Am i supposed to play too ? do combat and stuff ? making decisions ? pffffffffffffchhhhh i'd rather watch a movie than play a game i can tell you that much !
Yes I had sexual relations with a squid but lesbians in a video game? Whats next, them wanting to vote? This lacks historical accuracy and is woke and will surely go broke. Gonna play some apolitical games like metal gear solid while i eat my corn nuts.
I'd rather my females to all be "Quiet" if you catch my drift.
