- I've used most resources that requires a long rest.
- I'm low on HP and used my 2 short rests already.
If you're avoid using it in fear of being flagged for bad ending or fail a quest, you shouldn't. The only way to fail something by rest is if you already triggered the scene that begins the quest and it's presented as urgent - like the Inn Fire quest.
it occurs to me i could probably do the same with camping supplies. Grab a pouch or backpack or something, open it, drag and drop all my camping supplies into it, send it to camp, and now it's in the chest while i still have access to the bag that automatically collects all the food i pick up.
Why do you want to organize camping supplies? you don’t need to take them out of the chest to use them.
not on tactical because it costs 80 food, it can get a little tight if you want to do a full rest too often, I was running out and struggling to find vendors to buy more from in act 3 until I hit lv 11 and had access to 'heroes fest' on shadowhart and jaheira, but your point still stands and you can always just do a long rest without using food.
You can do partial rest (costs no food) and still get the cutscenes.
