You're getting a deal, a half price deal, so keep that in mind if you're thinking about ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the price.
Those of us in countries with decent currencies are subsidizing your game.
There you go.
But you should have seen the posts from Turkey and Argentina when they did a currency adjustment. Pages of them.
I need you to Americanize this amount. How much is 800 Lira in terms of Cheez-it boxes or Pepsi bottle prices?
Regional pricing is awesome and I wish more devs would do it.
The guy whining about regional pricing is probably not understanding that Larian is making the same income per unit selling for $60 USD in America and $30 USD in Turkey. American/first world taxes are out of control
The truth is far simpler: prices always increase to whatever maximizes profit (which heavily depends on what customers are willing to pay).
Lol. Update your talking points.
Turkey VAT is 18%. Corporate tax in Turkey is 25%.
US sales tax varies by state. Highest are around 10% and lowest to 6% or so. Corporate taxes in the US are around 21%.
So, no, Larian isn't making as much, or even close by selling their product at essentially half price in Turkey. It is 100% true that consumers in the EU and USA are paying a subsidy to those buying the game in places like Turkey and Argentina.
Or do you think publishers are selling their games at a loss?
