So long as you're somewhere around level 9 or so, your shouldn't have trouble regardless of party comp. Bring AoE like Gale or heavy-hitters like Astarion and Karlach to down casters fast, Shadowheart for Sanctuary if you want to make sure you can recruit Jaheria. Other than the one Orc that spams Black Hole (CC her if possible), Moonrise isn't that different from any other big group fight you've had till now.
Remember to loot basically every body if you're a worm-eater. You get a LOT from that fight.
It depends on how you play, what you did up to the point you reached there.
There probably wont be much of a fight at all depending on what you did.
You can have killed the whole population of the tower by then.
You can have killed the dog before the battle.
You can have killed the driader before the battle.
You can have weakened Ketheric before the battle.
You can be with Jahera besides your whole party.
You can have gotten 4 legendaries before the battle.
Too many things to simply "meta build" for the battle.

It does not matter who but what, as it depends how you use your characters.
The final battle was anticlimatic easy anyroads.
Does it matter if I take those specific people with me? If not then I will just go with my usual party of Shadowheart, Gale, and Lea'zel.
It does not matter which people you take for that, but Wyll wants to come along which is correct. Shadowheart is not so related to that place. Gale seemingly not either. Karlach will have something to comment, especially related to Wyll. I do not think Leazel cares much with her thoughts about being proclaimed traitor.
Anyone else is open for picking, those two have interactions in the follow up, I don't remember if anyone else has anything special aside from flavour dialogue.
Ya I don't really care too much about the comments the characters make I just want to know if it makes a difference or not to bring the people related to the quests there.
Shadowheart has to talk to Nightsong and I am assuming that is at the towers and I watched a video of meeting the Heart of the Absolute that I thought was there and that is related to Gale (I could be wrong though).
Ah, I see where you get the idea. Yeah. Based on that Gale, Shadowheart, Wyll is what i would recommend. But with the exception of Wyll it is really just flavour.
Gale... I personally consider it flavour too. But you know what ~ at this point I recommend: take the information you have from this thread and trust your gut. It will be a unique playthrough one way and another and what you "miss out" maybe you want to see for another playthrough in the future. That is what I recommend at this point.
Yes I am seriously considering those three to take but the problem is I didn't gear up Wyll so he won't be very effective. All he has is a magic rapier I gave him from act 1 and that's it lol.
To answer Sunricer question though. In all games like this one I like to do all of my companions quests if I can so when I come across something that is related to that companion the I switch out someone for that.
