He calls everyone "darling", like some women in parts of usa (I think 'xD) call everyone "hun"
where are you with gale and in the main story?
Gale has particular things he says if he's romancing you too, like its always a pleasure to talk to you (i think... its been a while). You shouldn't be locked out unless you flat out rejected Gale. You'll get an option. When I got the "let's be serious" scene with Astarion (Act 2), that's when I had to reject Gale.
If you're still in Act 1, you're okay... unless you told Gale you just wanted to be friends, etc.
At the party, if I talk to Astarion first and flirt with him Gale won't do his bit, he'll mention he wants to show sth but the Mystra scene won't trigger. I also don't have the 'whom will you seek?' line when I go to sleep, suggesting there aren't multiple options just Astarion. This all looks like I'm locked in a romance with him, yet there's no option to get out of it.
yeah he does do this. just so you guys know, if he wants to go to bed with you he will literally say "I want to have sex with you" like exact words almost. I just walked away at that point (to be clear, IRL I'm a bisexual male and while I hate both elves and vampires I think asterion is tied for my personal fav) and walking away from him doesn't give disapproval. I'd be very surprised if rejecting the offer of sex from anyone was met with an actual message of disapproval from the game.
ofc that isn't true to life which is why everyone has such a visceral reaction to having to reject someone, but apparently every one of your party members has an extremely healthy view of physical intimacy.
ESPECIALLY Lae'zael.
He's flirting here, that's all. I mean you character did have sex with him, right? Rest assured Astarion in Act 1 isn't as interested in you for romance as you think he is. You aren't considered (game-wise and/or companion-wise) in an actual serious romance with anyone until the end of Act 2 (Moonrise Towers). Some companions will flirt, some will have sex, some will proposition you even when you show zero interest (for me: Karlach, Laezel) but you aren't actually "locked" into a romance until the end of Act 2. Meaning you can't break up with anyone until your'e in a "serious" relationship. Any characters that you showed an interest in up until that point ( like having sex with them) will continue to show an interest in your character. If you don't want them to pursue you then don't flirt, or have sex with them.
1. You will get a quest from a "Mutual" Friend to kill a certain "Nemisis" in the Mausoleum near the House of Healing. Help the Nemesis instead and don't kill him.
2. Have him drink a blood of a Drow in Moonrise Tower.
He has to be in the Party for both of these to happen to break up with him efficiently.
