Stuck in Szarrs Palace

[53 & still gaming]

I have opened the sinister door with the family ring.
then I fighted the bats and wolves that were in the room.
During the fight, an explosion made that the door CLOSED again, why whatsoever.
my whole party happened to be outside.
I killed all enemies and the fight is over now.
However, the door can not be opened again. It shows a LOCKED symbol.
The dialogue with the ring does not repeat. No lockpicking is possible.
Is there any way to get through it again or via a different way in that room again or do I need to reboot ??
Or is the whole room not as important ? where is Cazador then ?

btw, the spell to become a gaseous form does not work for the door either, also not in the treasure vault. does not really make sense to me.

You will come across a waypoint you can fast travel to before you engage in combat again.

Sounds like a bug, it should not be able to close, hope you saved before the fight.

I know it's been a while since this post, but I came back to this once I figured out a way around the bug. You should be able to use Misty Step in order to teleport into the room. That's assuming you have that spell on at least one character. This is a confirmed bug BTW and I replicated it the same exact way you did. I simply pulled the lever by the door after Misty Stepping in to let the rest of my party through.

If you have someone with Knock ability (magic), you can open the door with it. Like if you have Gale, but not knock ability, you can respec him and learn it.

for those having issues with the game yes mods can be a massive issue you don't need to take off all your mods you need a script extender if you do not have one already. i had the issue where i couldn't get into the door and i downloaded this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2172?tab=videos on the nexus and it fixed everything now my ♥♥♥♥ is working again. I'm not sure for those that don't have mods but who knows maybe this will fix your game too? i would say try just in case unless the devs put out a fix.
