Astarion bite scene not triggering

I've started a second run with friends where I wanted to romance Astarion, wanted to have the bite scene to try and romance him at the after party with the tieflings, but it is not triggering, neither is the scene of him wandering in the woods at night triggering, cant find the dead boar anywhere and tried to spam long rest a lot of times and stil nothing, had all the other early night cutscenes (Wyll and Karlach discussing, Mizora coming, Laezel knife, Shadowhearth and laezel fighting)

But still cant have the Astarion cutscene, only places I still havent gotten to in the surface of first act are the witch house, the goblin fortress and meeting the gith with a drake

Tried long resting with him in the party and without but still no cutscene, is it a bug?

I think they have fixed romance "bug" where companions had a lot lower approval requirements, so possibly you need higher one now?

There never was a bite scene, he's just an ordinary magistrate go back to sleep

Oddly it took a while for me in my second playthru. I remember it being pretty early in my first. But second it took about 25 hours to finally happen.

I had to wait until 5th level for him to bite me. He already told me he is vampire and killed vampire hunter but no bite. But one night it happened eventually, so just wait.

Yeah same here. He told me he was vamp. Skewered the Gur....then he tries the bite and the choices are, OMG you're a vampire???? Like, dude, Tav...you not paying any attention?

The bite scene is fairly low-priority. I don’t take many long rests so the camp scenes get queued up and his usually comes pretty far into the 1st act for me. Sometimes he will tell me he is a vampire before he actually has his cutscene. I recommend you wait it out. There were several times I thought I missed it, but it eventually came.

I thought they cut the boar thing, I haven't seen that since EA. If its still there, its not triggering. The bite scene ... rest frequently. You get points with the others when you stake him, so its good to try to trigger it instead of killing him on sight.

The boar spawns in a random place and only if you haven't gotten the bite scene.

I still see it but it's in different spots every time.

It happens on the 2nd or 3rd full rest for me. Maybe you didn't full rest enough early on. It's not connected to the boar anymore. First scene he sneaks off, and the next rest is the bite scene. i'm still doing the Withers dungeon when it happens.

On my first character it happened on my first long rest, but I also waited really long to do it because I was under the impression you couldn't just sleep anywhere
