From Couch Co-Op to Online Multiplayer?
Hey community, just a quick question regarding "couch coop" and online multiplayer:

My wife and I started our first adventure on my PC with split screen, but now she wants to buy the game for herself. Is there a possibility for us to continue our journey even though we started with split screen? Can I somehow transfer the save files to online multiplayer sol that she can join my game and continue to play her character? Or do we have to start all over again?

Thanks guys

UPDATE: It was really easy, I hosted the game and invited her over Steam, she could directly join and control her character. Thanks for your help :)

Save files are just save files; they don't have any mode attached to them. So yes, you can play your save file in whatever mode you want.

hmm I think she will have to make a new character when joining your party, swap to her previous character, and then dismiss new character into wither`s wardrobe.

Hi OP, did you solve this successfully? Looking into the same thing.

Start a Multiplayer game on your computer, loading the savegame you have from Split-screen, then invite the second player via Steam invite. They should be able to select the character they want to play that session.
