Shadowheart romance broken?

I seem to be stuck in the Shadowheart romance. She's clearly into me (talks about just wanting to look at me, etc. when I talk to her in camp, I get dialog options to end things with her), max approval, etc. but I've been in Act 3 for a while no with no lake scene. The only hiccup I can think of might be the orchid. I swear i picked it up, but it's not in my inventory and there has never been a dialog with her about it. Seems really crappy if missing one item like that can block you out of progressing the entire romance, especially if there is no way to go back and fix it and especially given the effort and long time frame for the efforts to pay off. I've gone out of my way to shut down every else' advances to be sure I didn't spoil the relationship that way, but still nothing. Any suggestions short of burning hours and hours worth of game progression to go back to an earlier save? The only other thought that came to me, was I decided to go partial illithid. But I only did that because guides online said it doesn't affect any story options later. In any case, I figured if that was indeed the reason, she would say something about it and break up with me.

How often do you long rest? I would suggest saving, then long resting a few times, to see if you have any scenes qued up.

Also, what hair color is ShadowHeart? Depending on what path she took, she won't be romance-able anymore.

The romances are really buggy. I have trouble romancing Shadowheart as well. Somehow the game thinks I am in a relationship with every other male NPC despite me shutting the, down with impunity. It’s annoying and gets in the way of the Shadowheart romance.

Im still on my first play through and only "slept" with Shadowheart in the early beginnings of the campaign. After that, no one wants to have sex with my character. I tried switching lovers over to minthara but now both Shadowheart and Minthara just talk about how much they have butterflies but dont want anything more than that.

Her hair is white. I've long rested quite a bit. I don't think it's that. I had another bug earlier on in the underdark where the first kissing scene replayed all over again. In fact her quest line is now fully completed. I just finished House of Hope, so I think I'm pretty far along at this point. Clearly it bugged somewhere and I never got the scene.... oh well. Really sucks, because she takes so long to romance I don't think I will bother with her again on subsequent play throughs. A pity, an otherwise fabulous game ruined by bugs. My hope is that Larian comes out with a patch or option of some kind to 'reset' bugged romances or quests. Hell I would even welcome one of the old school 'character editor' hacks just to fix that and not really use it for cheating.

Same problem and I also loaded the save file at the beginning of act 3. Same problem again, maybe it's a patch or mod or something, I know what, but let's hope that it works again with a patch as you said

Did you allow her to skewer Nightsong? Afaik, that ends all chance of romancing as she devotes herself to Shar.

you gotta long rest a few more times in act 3 after romancing her in 1 act and getting her main missions done. After that you dont need to get the night orchid but its highly recommended.
